Mercer University won the third annual EAT A PEACH Collegiate. The team recorded scores of 294 - 300 for a 594 2-day total; a new school record.

Lacey Fears of Mercer University won the individual honors by shooting 71 - 72 for a 141 2-day total. Her a 1-under par score set a new school record for a tournament victory.

The fourth annual Eat A Peach Collegiate women's golf tournament will again be sponsored by Georgia Golf Ministry and hosted by Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. The tournament is a 36-hole 2-day event and includes a practice round. Each team will compete with five players and score four.

Twelve collegiate teams from the state of Georgia will compete with Mercer University for the EAT A PEACH title. The 2010 winner was Mercer University; 2009- University of Georgia and the 2008 winner was Augusta State University.

September 17- Saturday

1:30 PM- Practice Round
After Practice Round the Range is Open

September 18- Sunday
7:00 AM- Range Opens
8:30 AM- Round One- Tee Times off #1
1:00- Lunch Begins
6:30- Cookout

September 19- Monday
7:00 AM- Range Opens
8:30 AM- Second Round- Tee Times #1 and #10

Many people theorize that the Eat A Peach name comes from the delicious peaches that Georgia produces each year. That is true, but it is not the only reason. Macon, Ga. is home of the world-famous Allman Brothers Band. One of their most acclaimed albums is named Eat A Peach. This event celebrates the band and our delectable fruit.
